This beautiful antique French chest of drawers is one of the nicest ones I have come across for a while, it's sublime and of the loveliest quality. It's made from solid wood so it's a very a very heavy piece!
The chest is traditionally French made and has stunning detail, most notably the pretty carving along the base of the piece and the original ornate escutcheons and handles on each of the three drawers.
The chest sits on two short beautifully shaped legs to the front, each with the archetypal French 'Escargot feet' and plain legs on the back of the piece.
This superb chest has been hand painted in the sublime Annie Sloan colour 'Duck Egg Blue', a truly beautiful shade that works well with neutral colour schemes. Once painted the piece was then finished with coloured waxes and a veil of white wax added for a classically French look.

Superb Large Victorian Chest Of Drawers (FG486)

This stunning Victorian chest is so lovely, and large too!
The chest has two smaller drawers over three larger ones, each one slightly increasing in size as they go down the chest. Each of the drawers has a carved wooden knob and escutcheon. The chest has a gently curved front and sits on short double bun feet.
The colour of the chest is so lovely, its a beautiful shade of blue from Autentico called 'Scandinavian Blue' and has been finished with a veil of white wax which gives such a fabulous finish as it adheres to the chalky bits within the paint. The inside of the drawers have been painted too.
This is a large chest so please check the measurements carfeully.
